overall, not just ashfaq. the whole team played good until we scored 2. after that trying to park the bus was kind of sad. ditching shifan improved our defense. his old school style ruins the game we try to play. really happy and high expectations from amdhaan in future. probably the best thing coah Drago Mamic has done since taking over. ps. oppo is little slow but man he is damn smart.

yes, Amdhaan. What a talent we have got here!!!! i was worried to see all small defenders from Maldives after retirement of Sobah/Jameel. And maybe the only reason Shifan is playing now in the team is due to his height!!! ::: I guess the team played that way after 2nd goal beacuse they do not have stamina to play in that intensity for 90 minutes!!! And the fear of loosing a 2 goal lead infront of this demanding supporters will surely be in their mind!!! Considering those facts i should say the team did their best and played well. Though i would hope to see them keep calm in situations like that but honestly i can understand what they were going through at that moment in the field!!! No complains at all, from me. Any way good luck NT in you next match.

Congra Ashfaq n co for the fantastic performance. We criticised aftr the 1st came not jus to blame our players, but we knew hw capable our players are. Hav neva been so proud! Btw, pls get ur facts right MS. In this tournament, they consider head-to-head if teams r level in terms of points. So still we r in the 3rd position. But thats gonna b an advantage for us considering the game we hav in hand. N kyrgyzstan ate officially out. They have no chance now. But if we win against Palestine n if Myanmar wins against Kyrgyzstan, that gonna b really complicated. Game on!

Dear MS, Maldives is in the 3rd position of the table. In this tournament if two teams are equal in points first they will look for head to head. So Miyanmar won agaisnt us and they are in the 2nd we are in the 3rd.

Maldives is not in the second place...its 3rd according to AFC website..head to head is considered before goal difference...so giving false hope to the fans is not good at this point....hope you can amend this info in the article.

I wish the team tried to score more when the opposition was down to 10 men instead of swithing off after scoring 2 goals. This could turn out to be very costly. Palastine is a very strong team probably stongest team in this group so it would not be easy to score many goals against them and it is most likely that myanma will win against Kyrgystan. It is very likely that there maybe 3 teams with equal points if we beat palastine and myanma beat kyrgystan or if we loose to palastine and kyrgystan beat myanma. Also our match against palastine is before the match between the other 2 teams.

To be sure we go through, we need to win next match 2-0, that way Maldives will go through for sure. After head to head, they check for goal difference according to AFC site, so if we win by 2-0 against Palestine, we will have better goal difference than them. At the moment Maldives at third based on head to head with Miyanmar.
