Male’, MALDIVES: Palestine has won their first game of the AFC Challenge Cup 2014 after beating Kyrgyzstan 1 - 0 in the match played today. Abuhabib scored the only goal of the game in the last minutes of the extra time.

In the first 45 minutes of the game neither team was able to create an dangerous attempt. However in the extra minutes of the first half Palestine went close to take the lead. Mousa tried with a header which went inches over the cross bar.

Just after the kick off to the second half Kyrgystan created their first dangerous attempt of the game. Tetteh entered in to the penalty area and fired a timely header but goalkeeper came out and blocked the shot.

Five minutes later Mousa got a good chance to score for Palestine, Mousa was left unmarked inside the penalty area when he was match with a good pass. But his shot went wide off the target.

In the 55th minute Abuhammad tried with a long range shot, but it went direct in to Kyrgyzstan goalkeeper.

Twenty minutes remaining in the clock Alfawaghra delivered a good through pass to Seyman who was just just in front of the goal. Seyman fired a powerful shot from close range but Kyrgyzstan goalkeeper made an outstanding save to deny the attempt.

In the dying minutes o the game, Kichin fired a curved free kick from middle of the Palestine half target to the far corner of the goal, but keeper Israilov punched the ball to clear the danger.

In the final minute of the extra minutes of the game Palestine substitute player Abuhabib scored the stunning goal to grab all the three points from the game. Abuhabib’s powerful shot from inside the penalty area drilled in to the goal after hitting the crossbar.

After six minutes of added minutes game ended in favour of Palestine.

Thats a tough question but the Palestine coach said, Maldivians will support the Maldives team and they can understand that!!!!
