AFC silver award to Shukoor

Male’, MALDIVES – The chairman of normalization committee Mohamed Shaveed has handed over the AFC silver award to former chairman of Football Association of Maldives, Abdul Shukoor for his distinguished service for the football today.

Former chairman, Abdul Shukoor has served the Maldivian football from 1982 to 2007 as the chairman of FAM from 2004 and resigned from the post in 2007.

In a function held at FAM House today Shukoor thanked the heads of both Football Association of Maldives and AFC.

“I would like to thank the heads of FAM as well as the heads of AFC for giving this award to me.”

“I would say the changes made by the normalization committee have laid a good foundation for the betterment of football and I would say whoever it is who succeed should continue this plan to move forward.”
