AYL 1-2 Eagles: Eagles wins third

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles has won the third place of the ongoing B52 FA Cup tonight after beating All Youth Linkage (AYL) by 2-1. Second half substitute Mohamed Muslih’s two goals helped Eagles to come from behind.

Hassan Solah of All Youth Linkage broke the deadlock in the fourth minute from a perfect shot inside the box.

Ten minutes later Furugan takes a beautiful cross from the left of AYL penalty area, Keeper Athif caught the ball before Eagles player could reach to ball.

Five minutes after the break Shaheem penetrated the defense line of AYL and made a good shot but it went wide.

Eagles super substitute Mohamed Muslih leveled the game in the 63rd minute from a descent ball from the flank.

Four minutes before the normal time Muslih scored another wonderful goal to take the lead. He beat two players outside the box and his shot ended at the top corner of the goal.

Eagles got cash prize of MVR 10,000 for winning the third place of the tournament.

Maziya will play against New Radiant Sports Club tomorrow night in the final of B52 FA Cup. The match will kick off at 2100 hours.
