AYL held Mahibadhoo by 1-1 last night in Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

Male’, MALDIVES – An own goal from Mahibadhoo's Yannick handed AYL a precious one point in the league after the game finished 1-1 tonight. Midhuhath scored the opening goal in the 39th minute but the own goal costs them the chance to go into the top four.

AYL used their foreign based player for the first time in the league and showed a good performance against Mahibadhoo tonight. Bouga penetrated the defense line of Mahibadhoo and made a good shot but young keeper Jazlan saved the ball.

Mahibadhoo’s Midhuhath hits the wood work in the 20th minute from a stunning shot just outside the box.

Three minutes later, Samooh made another good shot on target and Yamaan made a good superb save to stop it.

Six minutes before the break Midhuhath scored from a wonderful volley to take the lead.

Substitute player Amir made a good shot just six minutes before the normal time but went wide.

Mahibadhoo’s Yannick scored an own goal to level the game when he tried to clear the shot from Adhil Abdul Rahman.

Young keeper Jazlan made another wonderful save in the extra time of the game to stop the shot from Misbah who took it outside the box.

Mahibadhoo lies on fifth position with 11 points from 10 games. While AYL lies on 7th position with 7 points from 10 games.

New Radiant will play against Club Valencia on Thursday at 1600 hours.
