Abu rescues Maziya

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation Club came from behind to beat Victory by 2-1 in today’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

Maziya started the game very well and in the second minute they missed a chance to break the deadlock. Nashid failed to control the pass from Abu inside the box.

In the 12th minute Adman’s header hits the post and from a wonderful cross taken by Samdhooh.

Seven minutes later Amdhan made another good header inside the box but hits the post again and Abu made a good shot from the rebounded ball but it was blocked.

Victory’s first attempt on target came from Ismail Mohamed in the 21st minute but his powerless shot went straight to the keeper.

Five minutes before the break Abu supplied a wonderful cross from the right flank to Nashid but his header went wide.

Victor broke the deadlock just five minutes after the break from a superb volley inside the box. Zhivko missed the ball and Shimaz passed it to Kaka and he passed it to unmarked Zhivko inside the box and he converted it to a goal.

Eight minutes later Irufan leveled the game from a wonderful header inside the box from a free kick taken by Samdhooh.

In the 66th minute Shimaz made a good header inside the box but keeper Imran saved the ball.

Maziya took the lead in the 79th minute from a wonderful header by Abu inside the box.

Eight minutes before the normal time Shiyam missed another good chance to increase the margin, keeper Athif blocked his shot inside the box.

In the 84th minute, Viktor beat his marker and supplied a good ball into the box but Shimaz failed to control it.

In the additional time of the game Nashid's shot inside the box hits the woodworks again and Shiyam made a good shot from the rebounded ball but hits the post again.

New Radiant will play against Club Eagles tonight at 2100 hours.
