This comment is driven by emotions from the immediate aftermath of the accident, not based on facts of the circumstances. Unfortunately, Addu Link road has a history of bad accidents as a result of the careless, reckless and irresponsible driving habits of the road users. I wouldn't be surprised if the accident is caused by another reckless motorist.

Hey excuse me this was not a planned accident. An accident might take place in your country as well. its called an ACCIDENT, nobody is at fault. and for sure not even our police men would take a risk of gettting injured with broken bones. ITS GODS WILL. Now respect it and be happy cause there wasnt any serious injuries. ITS GODS WILL, none of us are at fault.

your players are healthy, they just had minor injuries, and such things are not planned by us. We are all muslims and we dont hurt other people like this, and so far Afgan is our neighbouring country we respect them and we would do anything for their protection.

I'm a Filipina but i feel bad about this. They are supposed to celebrate because they advanced to the semis and this happened. I hope they're all going to be fine.

No "serious" injuries. Come on, MS. Let's not get overly-dramatic and worry people.

At least we're not ravaged by poverty, typhoons or armed militants. And the weather in Philippines, the alternative host, is no different than Maldives. The European-based Filipino players are just big, pampered cowards who need the right temperature, humidity and good food to be able to put on a half-decent performance.

Please don’t try to make a conspiracy out of this, this is an unfortunate accident. Yes, this should not have happened, security should have been tighter. A motor bike cannot be allowed to overtake as this motorist did. I wish a quick recovery to all Afgan players and that they will be able to play in the semi with their best 11. Hopefully authorities will look into the matter and take appropriate actions and make all the teams stay here in Maldives safe.

Maldives is not really a good place venue to host this from the beginning. FAM has done a terrible job for security and confirmed report to us that teams need to ride a boat to the venue.
