Our defense got thoroughly exposed by Afghanistan's young reserve strikers. I think the scoreline is a bit misleading as we also created plenty of chances. If our attackers had their shooting boots, this could have been a goalfest for both teams. However, I really hope the players don't take this too badly; after all, we were already guaranteed a spot in the semis. We now face India who have a very different squad this time. Our job should be to test their young defenders and pressurize them from the off. In recent matches against India, we lost because we were too cautious and defensive, and we all know that Maldives cannot defend to save their lives. For us, attack is the best form of defense.

They made the same mistakes in the previous two games, they carried this trend to this game. only difference is that AFG made us pay for these mistake. this pattern of defensive mistakes recurring are most likely, considering the fact that this will happen in the semi and the strength of Indian's forwards. I regret to say this but tournament has just ended. waiting for official announcement.
