Male’, MALDIVES – National team key player, Ali Fasir has suffered a fibula fracture in the practice match held against New Radiant today and might take 3 – 5 months for recovery. Speaking to maldivesoccer.com, National team’s sports physician, Shakeeb confirmed that the player will be out for at least 3 months and the injury might need five months of treatment.
“The initial analysis shows a major fracture in his fibula (Near ankle). He has to undergo a surgery and it might take at least 3 months to recover. It might prolong to five months as well. But we have to see.”
Both Imran and Fasir went for the ball and Sentey twisted his ankle.
Speaking to maldivesoccer.com, national team coach, Istvan Urbanyi wished him a speedy recovery.
“I feel sorry about him. He would have a huge role in the team and we would miss him a lot. But now it’s time to focus on his recovery and I wish him a good recovery.
