Overall, it's fair to say our U23 team's performance was dismal in this qualification round. This is quite a concern as some of these players are already in the senior team and some would make it to top ranks in a couple of year's time. It's important for FAM to reflect on this seriously and recognise that we have to expect better performances in the future junior tournaments.

Remove some crazy dribblers from the team, everyone says we have skilled players ... but in football if we cant win as a team ... that's nothing ... every team selection ... they choose crazy dribblers not those who make good passes and those who hold the possession and those who keep the tactical discipline and those who can see other players when they attacking ... fast or good dribbling players is not everything in soccer if they don't know how to play as a team ...

I guess the boys just ran out of steam after a very encouraging first match, which is to be expected with the inferior fitness levels that is endemic in our football. Anyway, hope to see Hampu and Irufan replicating their performances for the senior team.

No problem.. The media will report we played "WELL" and we had "GOOD CHANCES" and we played with "COURAGE". Everything will be swept under the rug now and the team will come together for the next tournament, with someone who had played for the "NATIONAL TEAM".
