Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - Maldives national team captain and PDRM FA’s hit man, Ali Ashfaq (Dhagandey) has suffered a hamstring injury in PDRM’s 3-1 win against Perak FA on Saturday.
Speaking exclusively to maldivesoccer.com, Ashfaq confirmed that he sustained a hamstring injury during last night at Ipoh and he’s unsure about the duration of the injury yet.
“It’s a hamstring injury. The result of the scan will decide when I can go back to the pitch.”
Maldives national team physician Ahmed Shakeeb said that normally it would take 21 days to recover a hamstring injury.
“Normally it would take 21 days to recover hamstring injury but I don’t know what has happened to Ashfaq.”
It’s believed that Ashfaq is also a doubt for PDRM FA’s FA Cup round of 16 match against Sime Darby on 17th March 2015.
Maldives is set to play an international friendly match against Tajikistan on 26th March 2015 at National Stadium.
