BG stuns Maziya

Male’, MALDIVES – BG Sports managed to get a point against Maziya Sports and Recreation Club after a 2-2 draw. Riste Naumov and Assad Ali scored for Maziya while Atapa Kazeem scored twice against Maziya to level the game.

In the 14th minute, Abu got to the end of a good cross from Rilwan to the box but could not direct his shot on goal.

Three minutes later, Faruhaad supplies good cross in to the box but keeper Rasheed saved the ball before it reached Maziya player.

In the 29th minute BG Sports broke the deadlock after a big blunder from defender Amdhan. Amdhaan loses possesion which left Kazeem to a one on one with goalkeeper Nishah. Kazeem beats Nishah and slots the ball into the net.

Two minutes after the break Abu was open in the box but Rasheed rushed out to deny him with a wonderful save. Assadulla got to the deflected ball but his shot went over the bar.

Maziya’s Naumov headed the ball in the net from a cross from Nashid. Keeper Rasheed got a touch on the ball but he could not deny Naumov.

Ten minutes before the normal time Ashad Ali scored a superb goal inside the box.

BG Sports leveled the game from a penalty kick in the extra time of the match.
