Bandung claims top spot

Male’, MALDIVES – Indonesia’s Persib Bandung claimed the top spot of group H in the AFC Cup after beating New Radiant Sports Club by 1-0 today. Muhammad Ridwan scored the only goal in the 12th minute.

New Radaint’s first attempt came in the 12th minute when Niyaz’s shot out side the box and it was deflected for a corner kick.

A minute before the break Persib Bandung missed a golden opportunity to double the lead. Keeper Alisher blocked Supardi’s shot inside the box.

In the 66th minute, William missed the target when he got the ball inside the box. His shot went wide.

Nine minutes before the normal time Atep missed a golden opportunity to doubled the lead. He got a superb ball from Supardi while he was unmarked inside the box but shot it over the bar.

In the last minute of the normal time Supardi missed one of the best chance to score during the match. His shot inside the box went inches away from the box while he was unmarked inside the box.

With this win Persib Bandung lies in the top of the table with 11 points from five games. While Ayeyawady United lies on the second position of the table. Ayeyawady United won their match against Lao FC today by 4-3.
