Bangladesh finishes with a win

Trivandrum, INDIA – Bangladesh finished the 2015 SAFF Suzuki Cup after a 3-0 win against 10-men Bhutan today here in Trivandrum International Stadium.

Topu Barman opened the scoring from a good header in the first half and a brace from Shekawath Roni confirmed all three points in their last match of this year’s regional tournament.

Bangladesh took the lead in the 8th minute from a corner kick, which slightly over hit was flicked back into the area and Topu Barman headed it into the net.

Bangladesh’s Shekawath Roni extended the lead in the 23rd minute from a penalty when referee awarded them the spot kick after a sending off of Bhutanese defender Chimi Dorji.

In the 67th minute Shekawath Roni scored his second goal of the day after a fine shot to make it 3-0 to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh lies on the third position of the table while Bhutan finished the tournament without a point.
