Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant Sports Club's newly appointed captain, Mohamed Umair believes it's an honor to be named as the captain of country's biggest club.



"I believe it's a great honor to be the captain of Maldives' biggest club and I will try to do everything possible I can do for the club's success."



"POMIS Cup is a new tournament for me and our target is to win the tournament and we will try to achieve our target." Umair added.



Umair also said that PDRM would be a tough opponent as the national team captain is playing for them and they will keep a special eye on him.



"PDRM FA would be a tough opponent especially when our captain, Ashfaq is playing for that club. We will give special attention to him."



Umair urged all the supporters to respect Ashfaq and to give him a warm welcome when he's back in the Maldives.



"I will give my utmost respect to Dhagey as a opponent player also I request all the supporters to respect and give him a warm welcome when he's back."



"I request all the supporters to be with the team. We will always try to correct our flaws and bring joy to our fans."


POMIS Cup is scheduled to play from 22-28 January 2015.
