Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant has confirmed the signing of Brazilian playmaker Everton Souza Santos. Everton played for AYL in 2012 and helped the club finish third in the FA Cup, their best achievement in the top division.

The league champions announced the signing of a Spanish goal keeper yesterday to replace Maldives number one custodian Imran Mohamed, who left the blues after three successful seasons to join rivals Maziya.

New Radiant chairman Balak has revealed on twitter that the club has signed three foreign players but is yet to unveil the details of the third player.

New Radiant, who starts next season with POMIS Cup followed by AFC cup, already signed Maziya midfielder Ashad Ali and defender Rilwan Waheed.

New Radiant is the most successful club in the Maldives in terms of their achievements in local and international tournaments. They are the only club that has won all three local tournaments three years in a row and gone beyond the group stage of AFC Cup.

Recently FIFA president Sepp Blatter has sent a recognition letter to the club to appreciate their contribution to Maldivian football and achievements.

It appears only two clubs are worried to get the signature of top players for the coming seasons? What about the others? Yes, these two clubs have an AFC CUP to play, they need to be at it already but should not others be making an effort too to strengthen their squad? Waiting too long on the sidelines and you are slimming your chances of landing good local players and by the time you rush to get these players it is already too late, then you blindly bring couple of foreign players, who you throw out of the team few games into the season as they are worse than the ordinary local boys. It not only disrupts the your preparation for the season and but also waste a lot of your money. Haven't our clubs learned the lessons from the past seasons.

Congra NRSC, You make maldives football have a big and good name. We encourage all the teams like Maziya, Eagles and others trying to promote Maldives football, Totally against teams like Victory sports club who is not paying Awilo and kaka and some local players till this moment. shame to all board members of Victory sports Club, You are spoiling the good name of that club and giving bad image to our football go go NRSC
