Male’, MALDIVES – Defending champions New Radiant Sports Club has won their first match by 4-2 today after beating Sun Hotels and Resorts in the Milo Women’s Football Championship.

In the match played at Milo Turf Ground New Radiant’s foreign player Ngangom Bala Devi scored twice while captain Fadhuwa Zahir and Aminath Shamila managed to put their names on the score sheet.

Sun Hotels and Resorts foreign players, Hajra Khan and Antonia Berger scored for them.

In the second match played tonight Dhivehi Sifainge Club thrashed Society for Thundi Advancement and Recreation by 10-0.

Do you call Blues to any of the New Radiant teams be it New Radiant Women team, New Radiant Bashi team or New Radiant U-21? It should not be so. Arsenal of England doesn’t call their women football team Arsenal but Arsenal women team? Why don’t you make that distinction?
