Male’, MALDIVES – Valencia retained their spot in Dhiraagu Dhivehi League after the win against Vyansa in tonight’s Dhivehi League Qualification match. Valencia came from behind to win the match by 4 – 1. The result means Vyansa is relegated to second division.
Zaad scored the opener for Vyansa, but Irufaan leveled the game 10 minutes later. Salomon scored to take the lead for Valencia and Hamdhaan and Wahid’s goals extended their lead.
Vyansa took the lead early in the game from a free kick by Zaad outside the edge of the penalty area.
Valencia scored the equalizer in the 24th minute. Irufaan headed Charles corner into the net.
In the 71st minute, Salomon dribbled inside the penalty area, but his cross was cleared by the defenders.
Five minutes later, Sujau dribbled inside the box and managed to beat the keeper and take a shot, but
Valencia defenders cleared the ball.
In the 82nd minute, Salomon scored for Valencia from a cross by Charles inside the box.
Five minutes later, Hamdhaan scored for Valencia. He got the ball outside the box and dribbled inside the box and made no mistake to send the ball to the empty net.
