Eagles maintains position

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles has won their second game of the third round of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League after beating Club Valencia by 3-0 tonight.

Eagles captain Ismail Easa opened the scoring in the 28th minute from a good pass from Muslih.

Easa made another good shot in the 43rd minute but went wide.

Eagles doubled the lead in the 44th minute from superb volley by Imran Nasheed.

Three minutes after the break Valencia created their first chance of the game when Ismail Mamdhoh shot it wide inside the box.

In the 90th minute Ahmed Nooman scored their third goal of the night from a wonderful header inside the box from a corner kick by Imran Nasheed.

Eagles lies on third position with 29 points from 16 games while Valencia is in fifth position with 13 points from 16 games.

Defending champion New Radiant will play against Victory tomorrow night at 2100 hours.
