Eagles returns to the top

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles returned to the top of the league after a 2-1 win against Club Valencia tonight in the ongoing Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

Valencia started the game with their newly signed players, Akram and Mirchev but Eagles dominated most of the time.

Hassan Adhuham created eagles first chance in the seventh minute after beating his marker and made a good shot, which went over the bar.

In the 21st minute Mirchev provided a good ball to Akram but his shot inside the box went straight to keeper's hand.

In the half an hour mark Adhuham missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock when he received a ball inside the box but he shot it over the bar.

Four minutes after the break Eagles broke the deadlock from a wonderful shot from Imran Nasheed inside the box.

The newly signed Mirchev is a very good player, he showed good skills, good ideas but the problem was the way team was playing, they stayed at the back and very few times they went for attack.Hope they will play more offensive in next games. Hop Hop Valencia......

Why was he given marching orders? What foul did he commit preceding the event we see in this pic? Or was it this expression of anger over a referee’s decision? What don’t you make the necessary reporting for the unfortunate souls like us who were not able to make it to stadium?
