Eagles secured top six

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles has secured a top six position in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League after beating AYL by 2-0 today.

AYL created three good chances in the first 10 minutes of the game and keeper was forced to make a save to stop the shot from Moosa Hassan in the fifth minute of the game.

Two minutes later, Stephan beat his marker and made another good shot but this time it went wide.

Eagles broke the deadlock in the 12th minute from a beautiful header from Imaz, which was supplied by Shifaau from the left flank.

In the 27th minute, Keeper Faisal was forced to make another save to stop the shot from Stephan.

Five minutes before the break, Adhuham made a good shot inside the box but it went wide.

AYL made some changes after the break to take control of the game but after three substitutions they failed to do so against Eagles.

Ismail Easa doubled the lead in the 69th minute of the game from a superb volley inside the box.

In the 77th minute Muflih beat his marker and made a good shot on target but keeper Ziyazan saved the ball.
