Fadhuwa made the difference

Male’, MALDIVES – Fadhuwa Zahir of Maldives scored the only goal against Qatar’s national football team to win the match by 1-0 in an international friendly match played here in Male'.

Maldives, who have lost their friendly match against Qatar, last year by 4-1 played really well in front of few supporters here in the National Stadium. Maldives only goal was scored by Fadhuwa Zahir from a free kick in the 27th minute of the game.

Maldives who have also lost a friendly match by 7-0 against Bahrain in 2007 proved that they are in a good shape with today’s result.

Maldives will play their second friendly match against Qatar on Thursday night.
