Fasir nets twice

Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant Sports Club won the match against BG Sports by 5-1 tonight in Dhiraagu Dhivehi League. Ali Fasir scored twice while Umair, Dane and David scored the rest.

New Radiant created very good chances during the first 25 minutes and BG keeper handled well in those situations.

New Radiant’s David broke the deadlock in the 36th minute. His first attempt was blocked by Kudus but he slotted the rebounded ball from close range.

In the 42nd minute Fasir made a good shot inside the box but it went over the bar.

New Radiant’s second goal came in the last minute of the extra time from Mohamed Umair. Keeper Rasheed failed to save the header from Umair this time.

In the 51st minute Umar hits the woodwork and David made another good shot from the rebounded ball but this time too it hits the cross bar.

In the 67th minute Imran was forced to save a shot from Ihusan inside the box.

New Radiant’s third goal came in the 70th minute from Ali Fasir. David beat his marker and supplied a good ball to Fasir and he shot it into the far corner of the goal.

Four minutes later referee awarded a penalty to BG Sports for a hand ball by Shifan inside the box and Wisham scored from the spot and changed the score to 3-1.

In the 80th minute Dane increased the gap from a thunderbolt shot just outside the box.

In the extra time of the game Ali Fasir scored their fifth goal of the night from a penalty when referee awarded a penalty for a foul committed by BG Sports inside the box on youngster Suhail.

Club Eagles will play against Mahibadhoo tomorrow at 1600 hours.
