Fasir send Blues to the top

Male’, MALDIVES – Ali Fasir scored the only goal against Victory Sports Club to take New Radiant to the top of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League with a 1-0 win.

New Radiant’s first attempt came from Mohamed Umair in the 8th minute and keeper Athif saved the shot.

Four minute later Ali Fasir broke the deadlock from a good ball supplied by Hamza.

In the 16th minute, Fasir missed another good chance to double the lead when he shot wide from close range.

In the 30th minute, keeper Athif was forced to stop the shot from David and he saved the shot from Ali Fasir from the rebounded ball as well.

In the 64th minute, New Radiant keeper Imran save a good shot from Awilo.

In the last minute of the game New Radiant players, officials and the supporters showed their frustration with the referee’s decision when Ismail Shafeeu fouled on David.

New Radiant regains the top spot of the league with 45 points from 16 matches. Second placed Maziya got 43 points from 16 matches.
