First half goals enough for Maziya

Male’, MALDIVES – Two first half goals helped Maziya Sports and Recreation Club beat Mahibadhoo by 2-0 in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League. Amdhan and Ahmed Nashid scored the goals in just three minutes.

Maziya dominated the game throughout the night on a slippery pitch and created some very good goal scoring opportunities and Mahibadhoo keeper Jazlan showed an outstanding display during the game.

Jazlan stopped a good shot from Samdhooh in the seventeen minute and three minutes later he was forced to make another good save to clear the corner kick from Samdhooh.

Maziya broke the deadlock in the 34th minute from a wonderful header by Amdhan inside the box from Samdhooh’s curved free kick.

Two minutes later Nashid doubled the lead for Maziya from a superb volley.

Four minute after the break Nashid penetrated the defense line and supplied a good ball to Asadhulla but his back heel shot inside the box went wide.

In the 53rd minute Keeper Jazlan made another stunning save to stop the shot from Ashad Ali.

Jazlan was forced to make another save to stop the header from Zhivko in the 71st minutes and four minutes later he made another good save to stop the shot from Ashad.

In the 82nd minute Asadhulla’s shot inside the box went straight to the gloves of the keeper.

In the extra time of the game Jazlan made another good save to stop the wonderful shot from Asadhulla.

Club Eagles will play against AYL today at 1600 hours.
