Foakaidhoo starts in style

Foakaidhoo, MALDIVES – Foakadhoo started the newly introduced Minivan 50 Championship in style after beating Milandhoo by 3-0 today in the first match of the tournament at Foakaidhoo football stadium.

Ibrahim Musheer, Abdulla Sodhiq and Abdulla Hanim scored the three goals for the home side where they had an incredible support from the home fans.

The inaugral ceremony of the newly introduced tournament was held at the Foakaidhoo football stadium and the chief guest of the function was the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Zuhoor and FAM’s normalization committee chairman, Mohamed Shaweed.

The first round of the tournament will be played at the participating islands on home and away system and the second round of the tournament will be played within the zones. The third round will be played at Addu City and Kulhudhuffushi while the semi final and final match will be played at Hithadhoo Stadium, Addu City.
