High five for Fasir

Male’, MALDIVES – Ali Fasir scored five times against Mahibadhoo Sports Club today to beat them by 6-1 in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League. New Radiant won the league even before the match when Maziya was beaten by Club Eagles last night by 3-1.

Ali Fasir broke the deadlock in the 6th minute from a good close range shot from a tight angle.

In the 14th minute Hamza hits the woodwork from a close range shot and Mahibadhoo players cleared the rebounded ball.

In the same minute David doubled the lead from a good header inside the box from a corner kick taken by Umair.

Seven minutes later, Fasir scored his second of the day after taking a through ball and beating the keeper.

In the half an hour mark Fasir scored his hat trick from another through ball with a neat finish.

Eight minutes later Hussain Niyaz’s shot inside the box hits the woodwork.

In the 44th minute keeper Imran was forced to make another good block to stop a wonderful shot from Midhuhath.

New Radiant started the second half with double substitution after the introduction of their two young players Mohamed Karam and Ahmed Suhail.

In the 57th minute Junaid scored for Mahibadhoo from a good volley inside the box.

Eight minutes later, Fasir scored his fourth goal of the game from a delightful shot just outside the box.

In the 69th minute, Fasir scored from the spot when referee awarded them a penalty after he was brought down inside the box. It was his 25th goal of the season.

Club Valencia will play against Mahibadhoo in their last game of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League this year on next Saturday at 2100 hours.
