I like Imran; he's a forward-thinking person who understands what is required to bring our football to the next level. I see some very good young talent in the team with experience playing for the national team. I am also surprised at Ashfaq's inclusion. I do not think it is a wise decision as the youngsters need to learn how to play without him. I remember the 2010 Asian Games performance, which was truly dreadful. It was clear that the players had no clear tactical instructions, and they kept lumping long balls to Ashfaq in the hope that he could do something about it. In the end, Maldives scored zero goals and were lucky not to lose the match against Pakistan, who outplayed us from start to finish. Get rid of Ashfaq, he is too valuable for our national team, and start blooding the next batch of young players. Hopefully then, we will see the emergence of another young star.
