This is an honourable, selfless decision but I was hoping he would come back stronger after the match experience in SAFF. Another sad news is that Bakaa has decided not play either for personal reasons and I think Bakaa's particpation is important because he provides a good defensive midfield option for the squad.

Speaking of Bakaa, I think it's high time we tried to find a replacement for him as well. We saw the negative effects on our whole team when Bakaa was either absent or having a bad game during the SAFF Suzuki Cup. I'm not sure we have that type of strong, powerful defensive midfielder who also has good distribution skills, but Bakaa is also 30 and he will no longer be part of the national squad in a few years. Perhaps the closest player to his mould is TC Sports Club's Zaad, who played pretty decently during his few minutes for the national team. Perhaps we should give someone like him a little bit more experience as well.

Annoying decision, weak performance from Imran in saff cup full responsibility has to take from the coach Rickie Herbert , he has to know he is not ready to play the tournament , he pushed him to play and he didn't perform well and now sadly he's retiring from the national sides with all the blames in his head, the coach never take the responsibility of loosing saff, and putting all the blames to defenders and goal keeper Imran in silenced, always talking about young players and future of football
