Inter legends to face Maldives

Inter Milan's former defender Marco Materazzi will come to Maldives with the Inter Milan legends team.

Male’, MALDIVES – Inter Milan's legends team will be playing a friendly game against Maldives national football team on 1st May.

Speaking at a press conference held at FAM House tonight A D S S private limited’s official Ali Hameed said that it will help a lot to the Maldivian football.

“This will help a lot to the Maldivian football and this is once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the performance of world class footballers here in Galolhu Stadium.”

He also said that the ticket prices of the match would be little bit higher than the league matches.

“The prices of the tickets would be higher than the local matches and the tickets prices will be MVR 500 and MVR 650 (USD 32.42 and USD 42.15).”

Director of national teams Ali Suzain said that this is a good opportunity to improve the hype before the AFC Challenge Cup.

“This is a good opportunity to create hype before the AFC Challenge Cup and the president of FAM and officials thank the management of A D S S private limited for this.”

Legends of Inter Milan will arrive to Maldives on 28th April and the match is scheduled to play on 1st May.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan’s marketing and International Partnerships, Barbara Biggi has confirmed to maldivesoccer.com about the trip

“We are happy to announce that the legends of Inter Milan will be coming to Maldives to play a friendly game against Maldives on 1st May.”

Maldivesoccer.com can confirm that FIFA World Cup winner Marco Materazzi, Dino Baggio, David Suazo and Stankovic will be coming to Maldives with Inter legends team for the friendly game.

Mvr 500? Do the organisers know the value of mvr 500 to ordinary maldivians? I don't think there will be too many people ready to spend such an obscene amount for a football match even if it manchester united. Whoever thought of such a fancy number is trying to make a mockery of our gullible football fans.

All fans of Zinedine Zidane should go to stadium and "boo" Materazzi through out the match. We still remember how he ended football legend Zidane's career. We still hate you Materazzi. We will never forgive you. I urge all Zidane fans to go stadium. Come on guys, dont waste an opportunity like this
