Male’, MALDIVES – Hong Kong national team coach Kim Pan-gon has said that the FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Maldives will be a tough game for them.
Speaking at the pre match press conference held at National Stadium today Kim said it is always difficult to beat Maldives at their home ground.
“It's going to be a tough game for us and it is always very difficult to beat Maldives in their home ground. So, we should try to find a solution to overcome that.” Kim said.
“Hong Kong is in a good form after beating Kitchee and Myanmar last week in the friendly games and we are looking forward for a good game against Maldives.”
When asked about the security and other arrangements for the Hong Kong team he showed his happiness towards that.
“Of course our first priority is the safety of the team players always and we respect FIFA decision. Hong Kong Chinese are mentally very fit and we don't worry about that now.
“We have police escort to go to the training venues and the security people are always around us. So it's not a problem for us.”
Hong Kong will play against Maldives tomorrow at 15:50 hours at the National Football Stadium.
