Maldives national team coach Ricki Herbert

Male’, MALDIVES – Maldives national team coach Ricki Herbert has said that the FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Bhutan will be a tough game for them.

“I think its another good chance for our players to get international experience. We played so many times against Bhutan in the past couple of months and it’s going to be a tough one for us based on their performance in SAFF Suzuki Cup.” Ricki Herbert said in the pre match press conference this evening.

“We want to win the game and it’s a FIFA World Cup game so we need to win the game tomorrow.” Ricki said.

He also said that he would think about giving the chance to the young players tomorrow.

“I am very happy with the way our strikers played against China last week and I will think about giving the chance to young players against Bhutan tomorrow.”

Maldives will play against Bhutan tomorrow night at 2100 hours at National Football Stadium.

Go to a 4 days earlier what this coach said, he said the experience level is finished now and to build a team for staff , what he's saying today " another experience for the young players', insanity exists ?, rotten minded?, this guy is running 2 things in his pocket is this and that players didn't played , and young players and no experience

For someone who has almost had a crash course in tournaments -- when they came thick and fast, three in total, all in less than two months -- one would suspect coach would by now have learned everything there is to know about maldives football and the players. Their physical fitness, their strength and weakness in the areas of considerable importance. This tie is a big opportunity for Riki to show distressed maldivian fans that he is the real deal and his plans are not half-baked theories, that he has a blue- print in place and a futue for maldives football -- a stratagy and a tactical naus unmatched, that it is not for nothing he took a team to world cup!
