Bonda and 2Kilo retired from international football, yet here they are. I would've preferred to see Hamza picked, as 2Kilo is too old and has not looked at all like the player he used to be after the serious injury he sustained last year. Ismail Easa is there as well despite his horrendous form and weight gain.

Yes. But i guess inviting Bonda is not a bad idea because last time as well we missed his creativity in the midfield. ::: I was also thinking the same, why not invite Hamza. 2kilo is still having a problem in his (thigh i guess). Yesterday even, while i was wathing NT practce, he came and consulted Dr Shakeeb for that injury. ::: I saw Ismail Eesa in yestersday's practice and he seems normal but will have to observe him more closely to make a judgement on his fitness, after all it was the frist practice.

To all the players picked, we want to say we are behind you right form the start and until the last blow of the referee's whistle. Obviously, we expect and trust that you enjoy this moment and put in your strongest effort in every department of te game: mentally, healthwise, technical and skkils focus. Iraadhafulhu kureviyya, this is our tournament!

ahmed niyaz should go out in final selection !!! i knw niya performed really well in league and cup but he failed to show his form in saff champ ! i would say he was a flop in saff 2013 ! anyway youngsters should get chance in tournament like this which is played in home ground rather then giving chance for players who are going to get retired in 1 or 2 years !!

FAM tends to pick Thailand or Malaysia because they are the cheapest options. Remember when we had a training camp in Bahrain before the 2009 SAFF Championship? That was excellent. The players looked really fit afterwards and we played, in my opinion the best football in that tournament.

I think NRSC and rest of National team should play a practice match with in the the next two days. This will help both the team. This will help the National team coach to learn the players more and also will help NRSC team to prepare for the up comming AFC match.
