Maldives to support Blatter and Sheikh Salman

Male’, MALDIVES – Football Association of Maldives has confirmed that they will be supporting Joseph Sepp Blatter and Sheikh Salman in the upcoming election of FIFA and AFC election respectively.

“We will be supporting current president, Blatter in the FIFA election and Sheikh Salman in the AFC election. We want to share this with the clubs very openly.” Chairman of the normalisation committee, Mohamed Shaweed said.

Shaweed also said that he will also support the president of Olympic Council of Asia, Ahmed Al Fahd Al Ahmed Al Sabah for the FIFA executive committee seat.

Joseph Sepp Blatter, who is running the wold football’s governing body since 1998 will be competing with the vice president of FIFA, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Luis Figo and the president of Royal Netherlands Football Association, Michael Van Praag.

FIFA election is scheduled to be held on 29th May and the AFC election will be held on 30th April.
