Maziya 6 - 2 VB Addu FC: VB demolished

Male', MALDIVES - Maziya has confirmed a spot in the semifinal of the President's Cup 2012 after demolishing VB Addu FC 6 - 2 in the match played tonight. This result ends VB's football season with just the charity shield and no finals to play. Last year's DDL champions finished fourth in the league.

Maziya will face Victory SC in the semifinal of the tournament on next Friday.

Ahmed Rasheed gifted the lead for Maziya in the 30th minute, Rasheed input a slight touch on Samhood's long range shot.

In the final minute of the first half, Ibrahim Shiyam (Dhona) scored the second goal for Maziya. Ahmed Rasheed delivered a lower cross from right flank to front of goal and Dhona shoots the ball in to the net.

Shamweel (Bonda) tried a powerful long range shot in the first minute of the second half, but it went

inches away from the far post.

VB went one man down in the 53rd minute, Captain Ashad Ali was sent-off for his foul on Dhona.

In the next minute Ziyazan foul on Rasheed inside the penalty area and Maziya got a penalty kick, but Ahmed Mohamed's spot kick went out from the left side.

Four minutes later Amdhaan extended Maziya lead to 3 - 0 with his header from Niyaz (Bokury)'s corner kick.

Bokury made it 4 - 0 with his fine finish from inside the penalty area. Rasheed assisted with a timely pass from inside the penalty area.

In the 68th minute Bokury added another goal to score card, his shot from inside the penalty area deflected in to the goal after hitting the crossbar.

Twelve minutes remaining in the clock Adam Fazeeh scored a goal for VB to vanish the blank sheet. Nashid gave a good pass with a back hill and Fazeeh sent the ball in to the goal from inside the penalty area.

In the final minute of the game Nashid scored another goal for VB and turned the scoreline 2 - 5.

In the extra minutes of the game Rasheed scored his second and 6th goal for Maziya. Rasheed fired the rebounded ball from Easa's shot, from near the goal line to seal the 6 - 2 win for Maziya.
