Maziya appoints Suzain

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation Club has appointed Ali Suzain, former Director of National Teams at FAM as their new head coach.

In a function held at Mazaada Café this afternoon Suzain said that Maziya is one of the best teams in the Maldives.

“Maziya is one of the best teams in the Maldives and the way they manage the club was very good. We didn’t hear much about salary issues and other things related to finance so, it was one positive thing to join this club.”

“Maziya has a very good squad and even the bench is very good and I have the full confidence that I can get a good result during the season."

Suzain worked as the Director of National Teams previously has resigned from that post and said that I have a choice to work with Maziya or to work at FAM.

“I have a choice whether to join Maziya or to continue with FAM and I have been thinking on this for the last two days. I guess the best thing for now is to work with one of the best football teams in the Maldives, who has nearly 50% of national team.”

Suzain has won many titles with Victory Sports Club in his tenure and after the 2012 season he has resigned from that post and later on he has joined with the Football Association of Maldives.

Maziya’s General Secretary Abdul Wahhab said that Suzain is one of the best local coaches in the country.

“Suzain is one of the best coaches in the country and Maziya Sports has decided to work with him and he is very positive with us.”
