Maziya beats Valencia

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation won their game against Club Valencia by 2-1 today in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League. Hosoe and Asadhulla scored for Maziya, while Hussain Shimaz scored the only goal for Valencia.

In the ninth minute Pablo’s stunning shot inside the box was cleared for a corner kick while keeper was not in the right position.

Valencia’s keeper Athif Ahmed made a stunning save to stop the shot from Nashid from out side the box in the 21st minute.

Toshiya Hosoe broke the deadlock in the 24th minute. His shot out side the box hits the post and went into the goal.

Four minutes later Umair made another wonderful shot on target inside the six-yard box but keeper Athif cleared it.

In the 36th minute Hussain Shimaz leveled the game for Valencia from a shot inside the box.

Five minutes after the break keeper Athif made another good save to stop the shot from Umair inside the box.

In the 57th minute, Asadhulla Abdulla took the lead for Maziya for the second time from a good shot inside the box. His shot inside the box hits the roof of the net from a good pass from Imaz.

A minute later Ahmed Rilwan missed a golden opportunity to level the game. Keeper Imran blocked his shot inside the box.

In the 77th minute Keeper Imran made another good save to keep their lead. Nihan’s powerless shot inside the box went straight to keeper Imran.

Club Eagles will play against Mahibadhoo in tomorrow’s Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League. The match will kick off at 1600 hours at National Football Stadium.
