Maziya continues winning run

Male', MALDIVES - Maziya Sports and Recreation Club won the match against Club Valencia by 2-1 to continue their winning streak in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

Awilo took the lead for Valencia but before the break Ashad Ali leveled the game. Maziya's french striker Joseph changed the score to 2-1.

Valencia started the game well and created some good chances and two of them came from Akram.

Asadhulla Abdulla hits the post in the 21st minute and Valencia players cleared the ball.

Awilo broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute from a wonderful shot inside the box.

In the half hour mark Akram supplied another descent ball into the box but it was too long for Rilwan who was inside the box.

Ashad Ali leveled the game in the 38th minute from a descent shot inside the box. He controls the ball and put into the far bottom corner of the net.

Nashid supplied a good ball to Ashad in the 71st minute, Ashad was too late to made a shot from that.

A minute later Joseph took the lead for Maziya from a superb header inside the box from Easa's corner kick.

Club Eagles will play against Victory tonight at 2100 hours.
