Maziya holds Persipura

Jayapura, INDONESIA - Maziya holds Indonesia’s Persipura for a goalless draw. Though Persiupura created numerous opportunities they couldn’t break defense strategies adopted by Maziya. Persipura’s strike force look hard to penetrate Maziya’s defense.

Maziya also pressured persipura’s defense at counter attacks, however they couldn’t convert an opportunity for a goal.

In the 2nd minute Pablo’s header from inside the six yard box from Samdhooh’s free kick from right flank goes over the bar.

Two minutes later Niyaz took a nice cross from the right flank, Asadulla attempted the ball but he couldn’t take the shot properly.

In the 7th minute, Persipura’s Zulham Malik’s shot inside the penalty area was blocked by Zhivko, Boaz took the re bounced shot but Imran caught the ball. At the end of first quarter of first half, Niyaz was replaced by Nashid as Niyaz got injured.

In the 15th minute, Zulham beat the keeper unfortunately Samdhooh cleared the ball from danger zone before Zulham hits the net.

In the 24th minute, asadulla’s powerful shot from the penalty area line hits outside the goal.

In the 38th minute Zulham missed another scoring chance, his powerful shot just in front of the goal went over the bar.

In the dying minutes of first half, keeper Imran had to face trouble from Persipura strikers. However the first half ended in a goalless draw.

In the 48th minute, Amdhan heads from corner kick at far post saved by keeper Dede.

In the 55th minute, Imran blocked Gerald’s shot inside the six yard box. Three minutes later another shot from Gerald goes wide to goal.

Maziya mainly focused in defense in the second half, resulting Persipura produced many attacks and kept on pressuring Maziya defense. Imran came to the rescue several times.

Zulham missed again in the 74th minute. Defender blocked the shot just in front of the goal.

In the 85th minute, Imaz missed a great chance by delaying the shot inside the box, Persipura defender grabbed the ball from Imaz.

In the additional time, Zulham missed another chance. Dribbled inside the box but his cross hits outside the net.

After today’s game Persipura firmly tops the group with 10 points and Maziya in the third with 4 points.
