Maziya thrash Mahibadhoo

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation Club thrashed Mahibadhoo Sports Club by 8-1 last night and topped the table of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League. Asadhulla scored a hat trick in this match.

Maziya started the game very well and pressed hard to break the deadlock but in the seventh minute of the game Rilwan Waheed brought down Hussain Niyaz inside the box and referee awarded a penalty kick to Mahibadhoo but keeper Imran saved the spot kick from Midhuhath.

Five minutes later Mahibadhoo created a good chance, Tahi’s shot just outside the box went straight to the gloves of the keeper.

Asadhulla opened the scoring for the green boys in the 19th minute from a good through pass from Ibrahim Shiyam, he controlled the ball and shot it into the goal.

Maziya took the control of the game in the 39th minute when Gasim Samaam scored an own goal, while clearing the cross taken by Riste.

Two minutes later Asadhulla scored their third goal of the night from a rebounded ball when keeper blocked the shot from Ibrahim Shiyam.

Two minutes before the break, Ashad Ali supplied a good ball into the box and Riste’s header went straight to the far corner of the net.

Four minutes after the break Asadhulla scored his hat trick of the night from a wonderful header. This was his 8th goal of the season.

Riste scored his second of the night in the 53rd minute from a perfect header from a cross taken by Abu to change the score line to 5-1.

In the 66th minute Mahibadhoo’s only goal was scored by Tahi, who slots the ball from inside the box.

Maziya seventh goal was scored by substitute player Ahmed Nashid and all thanks goes to Ashad Ali for the assist.

In the 75th minute Sadin scored Maziya’s eighth and final goal of the night from a wonderful shot inside the box.

With this win Maziya topped the table with 10 points from 4 games and second placed New Radiant got 9 points from 3 games.

New Radiant will play against Eagles tomorrow night at 2200 hours.

I thought MAZIYA has changed a lot but now they have changed the way they play and even some players has changed the style of them , need to bring back the passing football MAZIYA has been playing fr years

suzain mut be good. enything his team does is minimum beautiful. if i did not know that we talk maldivian football i might even believe it.
