Maziya to face New Radiant in the final

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation Club has booked a place in the final of Presidents Cup tonight after beating BG Sports by 2-1. BG Sports Solah took the lead in the first half but in the last seven minutes of the game Maziya’s Ahmed Mohamed and Asadhulla turned the match to their side.

In a very balanced match BG Sports scored the opening goal just two minutes before the break. Solah’s shot just out side the box hits the bottom corner of the goal.

Four minutes after the break, Ibrahim Fazeel’s shot out side the box was blocked by keeper Imran, Ashad tried to shoot the re bounced ball but Shafiu cleared the ball from dander zone.

In the 81st minute Ifrah fouled Rumen inside the box and referee awarded a penalty for Maziya and Ahmed Mohamed scored from the spot to level the game.

A minute later Asadhulla Abdulla scored the winner. Rumen made a good shot on target and keeper cleared it but Nashid pass it to Asadhulla and he converted it to a goal.

Maziya will play against New Radiant in the final on 23rd October. This will be their seventh meeting in the season. New Radiant won all the previous six encounters.
