Milo unveils Ali Ashfaq as their ambassador in the Maldives for 2013.

Male’, MALDIVES – Milo has today unveiled Ali Ashfaq, the captain of the Maldives National Football team, as the official Maldives ambassador for Milo for the year 2013.

In a press briefing held at Traders Hotel this morning Ali Ashfaq was officially unveiled to the media and invitees of the Maldivian footballing community.

According to Milo, under the ambassadorship program Ali Ashfaq will feature in the advertisements of Milo in the Maldives. These include TV commercials, billboards, posters and road shows and events conducted by Milo in 2013.

Milo also briefed about the ongoing Milo Fabulous Family Holiday Promotion in association with Sri Lankan Airlines. The promotion which runs for three months from 20th January 2013 provides the opportunity for 3 families to win holiday packages to Bangkok, Bangalore and Kuala Lumpur, simply by purchasing a Milo tetra packet.

The prize for the 20th February lucky draw will is a 3 day holiday package for a family of 4 in Bangalore, India and on 20th March, winner will get a 3 day holiday package for a family of 4 in Bangkok, Thailand. And the third month winner will get a 3 day holiday package for a family of 4 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tyronne Soza, country manager, Ace Aviation Services Maldives Pte Ltd, General Sales Agent for Sri Lankan Airlines, the promotion partner said that this promotion will allow the customers of Milo to enjoy the fantastic packages of Ace Travels.

This is a little too late for him. Though he is famously known as Dhaganday for his marauding strength, in recent times he tumbles on the ground with slightest of touches, more often in the penalty box. Whether this is to fool referee for a penalty, I don’t know. So we hope for him to be the ambassador of this product means he will also make use of this brown thing to make his nickname stand the test of time. Good luck MAN… and not to forget OF STEEL!
