Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant introduces player sponsorship opportunities for the club members under the concept of “My team, my player”. Speaking at the gold night, Chairman Ali Waheed (Balak) said that he wants more participation by the club members in running the club.

“The biggest difficulty when I was the manager in 2009 was the lack of funding. During that time even around four supporters get together and sponsor a player. We want that concept to be renewed again. We have opened that window again”

Speaking at the ceremony, Balak announced that former New Radiant chairman, Ibrahim Nooraddeen has sent an SMS expressing his desire to sponsor jersey number 11 of next year.

“Now we have to look for a player who will wear jersey number 11 next year.”

Balak also noted that they are planning to sell season tickets for New Radiant supporters.

“We are planning to sell the standing season ticket for MRF 1000 and seating tickets for MRF 5000.”

New Radiant gave awards in recognition for the services provided by the players and the officials.

Ashfaq was awarded the best player and Samaah was awarded the best youth player.
