Our target is to stop China

Shanyang, CHINA – Maldives caretaker coach Ismail Mahfooz has said that their main target is to stop China when playing against them in the FIFA World Cup Qualifier tomorrow.

“I believe that we have a chance to get a good result against China and we will not consider to defend always. Our main target is to stop China and if we manage to get a good result during first half we can do something.”

“We will not play a defensive game through out the ninety minutes and normally the chance is high for the good teams when they are playing against weaker teams especially with a home crowd like thirty five thousand.”

Maldives team captain Mohamed Arif said that the players are fully prepared for the game against China.

“Almost all the players in this team is fully prepared for the match against China and especially the young players. This is the first chance to show the quality of our players to our new coach. So we all are ready for this game.”

Maldives will play against China tomorrow at 16:35 hours Maldives time.

it seems china are so scare of us...since Maldives is the best team of the region.. they saw our team players lifestyle and the egos, so the Chinese are very scared
