Male’, MALDIVES – All Youth Linkage managed to get a point against Club Valencia after a 1-1 draw in tonight’s match of the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League. Mohamed Amir took the lead for AYL but before the break Valencia managed to level the game from the spot by Abdulla Muaz.

Valencia started the match very slowly and AYL took advantage of that especially in the midfield and they took control of the game in the first half.

AYL broke the deadlock in the 19th minute from a wonderful shot inside the box from Mohamed Amir. Valencia players tried to clear the cross from left wing but Amir shot past the keeper into the goal.

AYL’s Bahajath Abdul Azeez missed a golden opportunity to double the lead in the 33rd minute of the game. He got a good through ball from the midfield but keeper Ifrah blocked the shot inside the box and he failed to make a second shot from the re-bounced ball.

A minute later Bahajath supplied another descent ball into the box but keeper Ifrah cleared the ball while Solah tried to control it.

Two minutes before the break Ali Niyaz brought down Mamdhooh inside the box and referee awarded a penalty kick to Valencia and Abdulla Muaz leveled the game.

Ahmed Ajuwad of AYL missed another good chance to take the lead, his powerless shot inside the box went straight to the gloves of the keeper while he was unmarked.

Nine minutes before the normal time Ahmed Nishan made a good shot just out side the box but keeper Ziyazan cleared the ball for a corner kick.

In the next match of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League BG Sports will play against Victory Sports Club on tomorrow night at 2200 hours at National Football Stadium.
