Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles managed to get another important point against the league leaders New Radiant after a 1-1 draw last night in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

Rilwan Waheed took the lead for the Blues in the fourth minute from a good shot just out side the box.

In the 23rd minute Ali Fasir missed a golden opportunity to double the lead after beating the keeper and shot it but it was blocked by Mubeen and William’s shot from the rebounded ball was cleared for a corner kick.

New Radiant’s keeper Alisher Akhmedov was forced to stop the shot from Hassan Adhham before the break.

In the first minute after the break substitute player Ahmed Rasheed leveled the game from a superb header inside the box from a cross from Adham.

Few minutes later Ahmed Rasheed missed another good chance to take the lead for Eagles. His shot inside the box went over the bar while he was unmarked inside the box.

After this match Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League is postponed for the upcoming Indian Ocean Island Games and 50th Independence Day activities.

New Radiant lies on top of the table with fourteen points six games and second placed Maziya got twelve points from six games.
