Raai and Abdulla Waheed suspends

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia’s chairman Ibrahim Raai Rasheed and general secretary Abdulla Waheed (Binmaa) has suspended after they failed to apologize for the letter that they have sent to FIFA about the false information from the FAM extra ordinary congress.

According to a press release released by FAM last night stated that the suspension was made based on the 45th clause of desciplinary code and the 2nd clause of code of ethics. Ibrahim Raai Rasheed was suspended for eight (8) months with a fine of MVR 20,000 and Abdulla Waheed was suspended for six (6) months with a fine of MVR 10,000and both of them cannot participate in any activity related to football during the suspended time.

Football Association of Maldives informed the club to apologize for what they have done and also informed the same thing to the clubs who has signed in the letter.

Desciplinary committee has decided to warned the members who has signed the letter sent to FIFA if they repeat such a thing that they will take necessary actions against them. The members who has warned includes; Hassan Waheed from Club River Side, Abdull Raagee Rasheed from LT Sports, Ahmed Shareef from Gaamagu, Ibrahim Azmath from Sea Land Sports Club and Nooh Ali from Gaamagu.

Club Valencia said in the letter to FIFA that the Normalization Committee Chairman Mohamed Shaweed has said in the extra ordinary congress of FAM that they will support Prince Ali in the upcoming FIFA election.
