Rafinha signs for New Radiant

Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant has signed a Brazilian striker, Rafael Betim Marti aka Rafinha. Rafinha has previously played in Hong Kong, Brazil and Portugal.

He is joining Maldives champions from Portugal's Torreense, a club with history of playing in Portugal's top flight as well as Portugal Cup final.

Rafinha is the second Brazilian, the club has signed for next season. Former AYL playmaker Everton Souza Santos has also signed for Maldives.

New Radiant is the most successful club in the Maldives in terms of their achievements in local and international tournaments. They are the only club that has won all three local tournaments three years in a row and gone beyond the group stage of AFC Cup.

Recently FIFA president Sepp Blatter has sent a recognition letter to the club to appreciate their contribution to Maldivian football and achievements.
