TC beats Valencia

Male’, MALDIVES – TC Sports Club beat Club Valencia by 2-0 today and moved to the third position of the table in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

TC Sports Club got 20 points from 11 games and Valencia lies on the fourth position with 15 points from 11 games.

Ahmed Rilwan missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock in the 14th minute from a header, which went wide.

Shamweel Qasim broke the deadlock in the 26th minute after receiving a good pass from Ali Nafiu and shot it into the net.

Valencia keeper Faisal was forced to stop a good shot on target from Fasir in the 39th minute.

Two minutes before the normal time Angel Munoz hits the woodwork and he made another shot from the rebounded ball but was blocked as well.

Ali Fasir doubled the lead in the additional time from a penalty when Shafiu brought down Fasir inside the box.

As long as there are referees who are easily duped into the theatrics of conniving players, players like Santay will have nothing to worry about their progress in the goal-scoring chart!
