TC stuns Blues

Kulhudhuffushi, MALDIVES – TC Sports Club stunned defending champions New Radiant by beating them by 1-0 and moves inches to qualifying for the semi final.

New Radiant’s keeper Alisher was forced to stop a good shot from Rafinha in the first minute of the game.

Eight minutes later Ali Fasir’s shot went over the bar from a good cross from Ashad Ali.

Ali Nafiu broke the deadlock in the extra time of the first half from a good header inside the box from a corner kick. Keeper Alisher reacted to that ball too slowly.

Rafinha hits the woodwork just minutes after the start of the second half after a good solo effort from him.

With this win TC lies on top of group A with six points from two games while New Radiant and BG Sports got three points each.

In the last match of this group TC Sports will play against BG Sports on Tuesday and they just need a point to book a place in the semi final.

New Radiant is not that powerful club anymore, teams brave enough to play attacking football can easily demystify the myth sourrounding their once-upon-a-time invincibility. And their coach have only one place, plan A, if it does not work they are doomed. TC just found that.
